Gout is caused from too much protine and the kidneys not allowing the uric acid that builds up to be passed in the urine. It then crystalizes in your joints and locks everything up. very painfull shit. To be honest I wouldnt wish it on my enemy.

I have to stay away from high protein foods such as beef fish shellfish deermeat ect. But I pretty much ignore that to keep my intake as close to 250 grams a day as I can. I have been on a drug called alluprenal (sp) for several years to control it. But I think with age my body has changed and I may need to up the dose. Got to go see the DR and see what she says. Im on a very small does daily. only 100 MG. Some folks are on 1000 MG a day to keep it under controll. I have had two flare ups in the last several months..it may be time for a change.

All good they gave me some shit to knock it out should have my wheels under me by the end of the week.. Fuck man its teal season...I got my priorities!!!but I bet the liver will need a month to recover from the meds...:rofl:

Colcrys? Colchicine is the active ingredient, but cholchicine used to be available generic and then the greedy drug companies took it off the market and introduced colcrys. Bullshit politics, but a great way to quadruple the price of an old drug.
