Pretty much the entire free world has standardized on the micro USB plug for charging and connecting to the computer. I now travel with one cord that charges my phone, my Kindle and my TomTom GPS. Every other device manufacturer has got together and decided to standardize...,except Apple. What a joke!

i have a macbook pro, an ipad and a few ipod nanos. i honestly had no desire to get an iphone because it never had the features i needed. but after much deliberation, i broke down and bought an iphone 5. preordered as of 8am. hopefully i get mine before the end of the year. if i don't like it, i could always sell it for $300 and get another phone. :thumup:Originally posted by THE BOUNCER View Postwhat do you mean? you can sync everything with google play. or you mean other apple stuff that you have?

$300? Don't give it away. You will be able to get around $500 on eBay.Originally posted by mofo View Posti have a macbook pro, an ipad and a few ipod nanos. i honestly had no desire to get an iphone because it never had the features i needed. but after much deliberation, i broke down and bought an iphone 5. preordered as of 8am. hopefully i get mine before the end of the year. if i don't like it, i could always sell it for $300 and get another phone.
It doesn't have any new features. Just some proprietary shit added and changed.

Point is, I despise the thought of carrying 2 or 3 different cords for different things. The whole idea was for the industry to standardize the connectors. iPhone for navigation is ok, but nothing beats having a big 5 inch screen screaming out lane and turn instructions in my face when I am driving lol..Originally posted by ROCKETW19 View Postthey have adaptor and it will hit ebay on the 21st. but really what is the big deal its just a cord, lol and a tom tom who the hell uses them things my IPHONE works way better than tom tom,lol

yeah. i have the htc vivid but it took a fall and the frame is warped. it isn't technically broken though. the volume rocker just sticks if it moves. the other thing is that the actual buttons along the bottom are semi-responsive. but considering this is the longest i've ever had a phone (~8 months), i'm pretty impressed with myself.Originally posted by Turbo3000 View Post$300? i'll see how the phone works for me. the biggest thing i hated about androids were battery but that's a compromise with any phone nowadays. remember when phones would go 3-4 days on one charge?

Yeah it's both. When I drive I like to take the regular GPS, not just the one on the phone. Just having one cord that is universal makes it so much simpler. I am mot talking about the bulk or the weight, just the hassle of keeping track of the charging solutions for a half dozen devices.
