        Yeah, but it's mostly white rice from those nasty southerners!

        Checked my cupboard--my long grain jasmine brown rice is from Thailand--I'm all good.

                  is there any details on exactly where the rice is coming from. the rice i eat is jasmine white from Thailand, i get it from costco.

                    "Surprisingly, when it comes to arsenic the less nutritional white rice is better than brown. The carcinogen is most prevalent in the outer layers of the grain and white rice is polished removing some of those layers."

                      I thought most of it was from the southern states in the US. All us foreign rice eaters should apparently be OK. Eat away!

                        Yep. My wife made all of us stop eating brown rice about 6 months ago after reading about this.

                          i stopped eating it years ago when i realized i look better and feel less bloated on white. my stomach hates brown rice.
