Over in Kobe for giving a talk at a conference.... here are some quick HTC One X photos of the view from my hotel room on the waterfront, as well as my dinner from last night... traditional Japanese cuisine from the Kansai region, just fabulous!

I am a researcher working on the physics of computer chips.

That's eggplant wrapped in seaweed along with sweet potato and tofu wrapped in something, I forgot.

Yeah, it looks small, but there were about 20 courses of this, so I was pretty full at the end of it lol....

Don't want to be skinny fat, weak and out of shape like most of my colleagues. I only know about 3 or 4 others who are serious about being in the kind of shape we talk about here.

So I was going to meet someone for breakfast. The restaurant was in the hotel I was staying in and the other guy was coming over. He shows up promptly at 730 and when I ask him where he is staying, he said his hotel is next to the station and a 20 minute walk away. No problem....

Can you imagine? If it was in America, we would be renting a car if faced with the prospect of a 20 minute walk every day lol....Makes me ashamed sometimes.
