  • Derek Anthony heart stops beating while on dialysis.

Not sure if you guys know who he is but basically he was known for doing crazy cycles and running 17-aa orals for years at a time etc.. Kidneys failed about a year ago and now it looks like his heart is failing.

          Haters?

Maybe they lack compassion for an idiot.

My little cousin 5 years old has had stage 4 cancer for months now. They cut a tumor out behind his eye and the cancer they said was floating up and down his spine but had not attached to anything. I don't post much about it on here because I know most here are athiest or agnostic but I come from a strong Christian family and have wrestled with this for years. Since my little cousin was diagnosed with cancer (his grandfather my uncle a pastor of a small country church) the whole family especailly his mother has been all over facebook asking for prayers and posting about her faith in God. It bothered me a lot because I thought to myself if their so called prayers go unanswered what would this do to the family? Bring them to the reality that there may or may not be a God and leave a lot of good Christian people I have known for years in doubt. They had prayer chains people holding hands praying for him people having fund raisors and donating momey, cars, farm equipent anything to raise money for gas money for daily hospital trips and for him to see the ocean one time incase he didn't make it. raised over 30k in the last couple months for him. The other day was the final test he could not stand anymore chemo has a feeding tube in his nose blisters all in his mouth the kid could not take anymore. His mother posted on fb one last time for prayers for the following day. He came back 100% cancer free nothing could be found anywhere not a trace.

Besides this was one of the reasons I posted about the Arnold cycle/stack in the aas section said on some different sites he ran dbol for up to 26 weeks 40mg/60mg/80mg/100mg/ I never heard of using orals that long or at that dose was why I was asking if this is internet bs or for real. Based on what I have read dbol cycles should be limited to 8-10 weeks.

Dago, first of all, tough story about your cousin bro... Glad to hear he pulled through.

As fast as all the other stuff is concerned, I think you know the answer. We tend to want to believe in something and it no doubt provides comfort to a lot of people especially in hard times. People tend to count the hits and ignore the misses. If the person doesn't make it despite all the prayers then it is God's will and if he does it is a miracle.

Truth is, despite all the advances, modern medicine is not a deterministic science. There are hidden variables, intangibles and just plain statistical chance that affect the outcome. You can apply best known practices and then hope for the best, that's all.

Dago, the little guy is a warrior, my heart goes out to your family and its uplifting to see he's doing well.

No one athiest or agnostic can disprove god exists, nor can they rule out that other beings exist in parallel dimension or another universe. Believe what you want to believe and respect others beliefs, simple.

thats great that he is doing well bro, glad to hear it.

but you ever stop and think that just maybe is was the treatment he was getting that helped him? come on bro. if the prayer worked why have him in the hospital at all? just pray if you are so sure of it. modern medicine helped your cousin and you want to give credit to a god. :noo:

Do you know what chemo is? What it does to people, often kills them faster than the cancer, seen it happen twice
