The GOP really needs to do some soul searching and figure out which way they are going. I am afraid they have no sense of where the country is heading from the standpoint of demographics and outlook.

The GOP lost the election because they couldn't secure the votes of centrist liberals like me and a powerful voting bloc - professional women. I will NEVER vote for a Republican, regardless of what the Democrats do, if they continue to be in the dark ages regarding science and reproductive rights.

The world has moved on, GOP. Get your head out of the sand and pry your party loose from the religious right if you want to maintain some relevance next time around.

understand what she said befor you comment on it. Race has nothing to do with this man and all the south bull shit..everyone seems to forget the man is half white...

I dont think "republicans" have all the answers either. In fact..I know they dont! I for one believe in working hard for a living and earning what ya get.Not having more and more people relying on the goverment to survive and taking a working mans money to pay for them. If thats whats so great..then everyone here should be equall.... all live at the poverty level take the bus and live on food stamps, because we have more people in america living like that now then ever before..white black yellow brown it dont fucking matter no one should have to live life that way..unless they are too lazy to earn an honest living..then fuck them!... thats what I believe and all I can do is hope two things come from this..

.no matter WHO won it.. get our deficite down and get people back to work in this country. PERIOD.
If people dont understand that then they really are fucked up!

No country, kingdom or empire last forever.

Not the Turks, not the Egyptians, not the Mayans, nor the Romans.

The same will happen here, everything crumbles to dust sooner or later.

I have been all over the world and could live in any number of countries and be just as happy and content as I am here in the states.

My loyalty and my love are for my family, not for any flag.

Bullshit, 90 to 95% of blacks voted obama!

                    That is staggering!

Far less whites voted for romney, blacks complain of racist but as soon as they can they vote by race.

"Bread and Circuses" - it's a metaphor for a superficial means of appeasement. In the case of politics, the phrase is used to describe the creation of public approval, not through exemplary or excellent public service or public policy, but through diversion; distraction; or the mere satisfaction of the immediate, shallow requirements of a populace.

In modern usage, the phrase is taken to describe a populace that no longer values civic virtues and the public life.
