  • Ronnie Coleman guest posing this past weekend

The only thing that he has maintained is the size of his midsection.

Anybody that says "drugs are only a small part of bodybuilding" is delusional.

For comparison, Ronnie in his prime.

Why in God's name is he even guest posing? That's just embarrassing.

This is frankly embarrassing. Some guys simply don't know how to ride off into the sunset gracefully.

Is his arms a result of nerve damage? What causes that? Just insane lifting over the years?

                Not. Good.

I saw him guest posing at a show years ago, and while he wasn't in great shape, he was massive. He looks gross now.

Pretty shameful. He had the choice to go out with dignity.

I concur...pretty ugly. I think anyone that competes in something where you are being judged on how you look continuously establishes a need to feed the ego...hence his inability to fade off as the badass he was. But truly if you think long term, massive chemical enhancement doesn't have far reaching effects...just look at retired pro bodybuilders..if you can find any.

lee labrada, rich gaspari, robby robinson, all look fantastic in their fifties and sixties, none were heavy lifters

True, and I'll be honest, there are people with a much deeper knowledge base then I have on the sport. However, I think you can definitely see a difference...a catalyst of sorts when heavy, in my mind, astronomical, use of chemicals has begun to play a part...and I think it was past those that you named...Kind of started with at the end of Haney into Yates reign..at least it seems that way to me. Again just a perception. The long term results of those are what interests me.
