Love your families and put aside your differences. The day is coming when they won't be there at all.

We have a saying in my family, you may be an asshole but we'll be the only ones to call you an asshole. We tear it up at each other frequently, but at the end of it, its family and water under the bridge. Until the next time ;)

My Mom was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in October. I left work and spent every available minute I could with her, went to every chemo treatment, slept beside her bed when she had to be admitted to the hospital and just this week stayed by her bed when she was brought home and Hospice was called.

My Mom passed away at 12:15 am Christmas Eve morning, we are a very close family and we are all completely lost, heartbroken to the core. My Mom and Dad would have been married 50 years this June. I have no regrets, and I'm thankful for every moment I had with her.

But without a single doubt I would trade everything I own to have just another five minutes with her again, to see her healthy and smile just one more time. To even hear her voice on the phone asking me something silly like how to program the DVR or how to email a picture.

Not just to you B, but for everyone here reading this. Please take the time to be with your family, don't let the small things get in the way of loving each other. Don't waste a single minute being angry or holding a grudge, those minutes can't be replaced.

Damn dude, that is real stuff right there. I made this thread drunk and pissed off but it wasnt a true indication of what I was or what I do feel for my mom. I love her to death even though we butt heads often.

I am very sorry to hear about your mom and I hope this thread didnt get you more upset then you already are.

                      real sorry bro.
