    :disagree:

Not sure why ten fights. All he needs to fight is JJB/GSP and that's about it; retire as THE best ever. But $$$ is what it's all about. I like Silva and GSP; tremendous athletes. JJB I've lost respect after not stepping up. But we shall see.

Anyone who's going to fight Anderson will have a tough fight, but just like Mr. I said, with a bit of luck, I can definitely see Jones beating him.
Ten fights seems like he's trying to bank as much as possible on Anderson...

10 fights is just a way for dana to controll him. Dana does that with everyone 3 fight contract no matter what. but dana can cut you anytime but you are stuck with him if he chooses.
smart buisness man but bad for MMA. these guys need to get paid more

I think guys like Silva and GSP and Jones are getting paid just fine. Way fine. Its the other guys - the majority that need to see an increase in pay for what they are doing. The superstars though, I think they are doing pretty damn well pay wise. Just my thoughts.

I agree. The upper echelon get paid millions for a maximum of 25 minutes of live performance.

With performance bonuses, PPV shares, endorsements, and getting paid everytime their name gets written down, the top tier aren't going hungry.

Its the guys that train for two or three months and grind out a 15 minute victory for 7500 bucks that is staggering to me. There is a reason that Zuffa keeps their contracts so close to the vest, and iron control over their fighters, and what is disseminated to the masses. I can only hope that as the sport progresses and more promotions have success, that the pay scale will be more appropriate. I find it staggering at what some of these boxers get paid for what is often, and I mean OFTEN, a very boring and lame fight.

Either way, at 37 years old and with boredom setting in, I can't see Silva fighting ten more times..it was merely away to assure he doesn't fight for another promotion, boxing or otherwise.

If Dana had control of his fighters, JJB would of fought last time and not pussied out.

I think control in context of exclusiveness is what Zuffa is concerned with and always has been. From demanding they give permission to use their likeness without compensation for their video game or simply be cut, to the iron clad way in which their contracts are drawn up to prevent fighters from making a living with another promotion, they have a history of locking down fighters. Jones is a huge draw...for whatever reason..personally I can't stand him, and has tremendous talent...and the UFC controls that through contract and sponsorship. Silva has expressed a desire to enter the world of boxing or return to Japan and fight on several occasions, and I think a ten fight deal seals his competitive fate with the UFC. Plus I am sure its a very lucrative contract.

actually I did mean the other guys sorry for miswording.
but again compared to the $$$$ in even GSP dont get his fair share.

Obviously the ten fight deal was/is about money. There's not ten people that could challenge him; GSP and JJB IMO are the only two, that's it.

I don't care about the politics and business workings. I want to see these "super fights". Now! I'm tired of 2-3 ppv a month with only a handful of worth while fights.

10 fights is excessive in my opinion but I think with Andersons money it really doesnt matter much anymore.
