Jerk BBQ and Beer

Tried a new jerk wet rub that was damn close to the authentic roadside jerk hut chicken I had and loved in Jamaica. Made snot run from my nose and had layers of deep flavors.

Washed it down with a white wheat beer a buddy recommended. Definitely one of the smoothest and tastiest beers I've ever had.

Eh, I don't really care for Belgian beers. They all have that same taste and I just don't love it. Leffe Blonde is probably the one I liked the most.

I'm a fan of beer in a can - when taste isn't compromised. Blue Moon is a perfect example - it's horrible in a can!

On a side note, the scotch bonnet peppers in the jerk is reeking havoc today!

had a beer yesterday called buttface amber from some brew pub. tasted like crap. lately all i like is really light drinkable beers. Magic Hat 9 or an ice cold corona with lime are just about tops for me. went through a phase of hoppy strong beers but lost my taste for it. wheat beers really bloat me for some reason.

I got it at a local shop. But they have it on Amazon for like $5 a jar. I'd like for you to try it and hear your feedback. It's the closest I've come to matching that depth of flavor and heat. It is a little more salty than I'd prefer though.
