This broad panorama of the Carina Nebula, a region of massive star formation in the southern skies, was taken in infrared light using the HAWK-I camera on ESO's Very Large Telescope. Many previously hidden features, scattered across a spectacular celestial landscape of gas, dust and young stars, have emerged.

Sort of falls into the infinitely small/ infinitely large theory. An atom looks surprisingly similar to a solar system.

Electrons orbit the nucleus of an atom just like planets orbit a star in a solar system.

True, there is seemingly an order to such things that gets constantly repeated, as surprisingly ordered in almost mathmatical proportions as a snowflake.close up

Like the Fibonacci patterns in nature.

Makes a good case for those who would have us believe ' someone' designed it

The Fibonacci sequence is the sequence 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8... basically starting with 0, 1, and then adding each number to the one before it to get the next number in the sequence. The theme and its derivatives occur frequently in nature.

A general video about mathematical beauty in nature.. the first part on the shell is based on the Fibonacci sequence, then leading to the extension, the golden mean.

And if you really want to get into it a bit deeper, here is a description of what's behind the video:
