It's always fun to check up Ojmjakon and Verkhoyansk weather online..... It is always -40 or -50 or something like that. Crazy to think that in Stalin's time, prisoners used to labor outdoors in the Kolyma gulag camps there in Northeastern Siberia in that weather.
