Hey B, are you concerned about some casual person who may be interested in working out but may not know anything about bodybuilding missing out on joining? I would be curious about whether, for example, Alina would have not joined if this question was there when she was signing up.

99.9% of our traffic comes from google. normal people searching for stuff and our site comes up. these people obviously already know how to use google. if someone has found us through google and has gone so far as to sign up here, i think they are capable enough to search for the answer.
however, this is sort of a trial i guess you could say. if i get emails or notice no new people being able to sign up, then we will have to change the question.
just deleted one now. I left his first post up as ther is no spam in it so you can check where its coming from my bet not USA.
Scrum had a good idea why not shut off non USA IP addys?
I know we have a few brits and kangaroos but not many others correct?
that particular one is a person that signed up with the intention of handing it over to a bot to post the multiple spam messages. that type of spam takes effort by a person. in a way, its a good thing. means we blocked that particular bot from being able to sign up and a person had to go through the effort of doing it.
we dont shut off none USA IP's because this is not a US only forum. we have members and legit browsers from all over the world including china.
I think if i got to the MrO question I would just say fuck it but i am lazy. maybe spell the anwser backwards right next to question?
indeed you are lazy. thats clear in the amount of spam you delete compared to everyone else. :D besides, i am not sure I want lazy people joining. how much can they really contribute anyway? the way i see it, people that really want to be here will take the 2 seconds to look up the answer. but as i said, this is a test phase. i can always change the question if it becomes a problem.
"maybe spell the answer backwards". thats brilliant bro. how is that any different then what we have been using where you see a bunch of letters and numbers and have to enter them to register? :retard:
Lot of spam just an hour ago, some all star mod is up early kicking ass.
what type of spam was it? was it multiple posts by the same user name with the same links over and over again? if so, that is a bot that MAY have registered before I setup the question and answer.
Yup, I just deleted spam from a bot that registered before the question and answer was implemented. We have seen it before, they join and wait, then they all post at the same time. You may continue to see that type of spam for a few days.
This one joined days ago but just now posted spam for the first time.
lol I dont delet spam as much cuz I have not been on alot at the monent. when I was sick I logged on seen a page full of spam and logged off,lol
I wouldnt do that today. there is none for me to zap. FB gets it all she has spidey sences or something. if someone spams her spidey sences go off and she loggs and and zaps em.
Yep... had a oouple yesterday but nothing major. BTW, is this having any impact on your legitimate new signups? Hopefully, it is filtering the bots but continuing to let the good guys in.
