  • Vitamix, anyone?

Well, the expensive ass blender arrived after wanting one for 5 years.

This thing is a beast, over built and over engineered which are two great aspects IMO.

Any tips if you have one? Recipes?

Plan is to start doing veggie shakes in the AM 1 hour prior to gym. (small amount of fruit)

Come on bro, do you even have to ask? :D

Thing looks like its from 1982 but its only a few years old. Definitely a solid blender.

Only thing I use it for is blending up my shakes. Not into veggie shakes or any of that rubbish.

Ha. Figured you would have one. Just throw some spinach in your protein drink. I bet it pulverizes your oats.

Played around with an apple and a shot of oj, it was amazing.

I don't have a Vitamix, but I do have a NInja that I love. I make a shake with whatever I happen to have at the time. I usually keep blueberries and peaches in the freezer, and always throw my bananas in the freezer when they start going brown or too ripe. I use a banana in all my shakes as my "ice".

You can buy a big bag of Kale at BJ's for like $2. Just add it to every shake, regardless of other ingredients. I use spinach, too.

PB2, the powdered PB is really good. So is the chocolate flavored one. It adds the taste of PB, but not the fat.

I have tons of fruit/veggie recipes if you want, but I haven't tried them all. My favorite shake is banana, 2 tablespoons of PB2, my plant protein, and almond milk. I need to get better at keeping the greens on hand.

Yea, the vitamix are way to expensive. i guess i figured since i use my blender literally every day blending up my shakes with ice in them, that it would probably be worth it considering i probably use my blender far more then the average person and i doubt some cheap POS would last me very long.

The samples were great though, bet oats don't even sink after blending

I have read a lot on the PB2, I think it is time I finally tried it.

Some of the grocery stores sell it, and Amazon usually has it for a decent price.
