I had a whole thread this past summer about those fuckers. I thought they were rattle snakes they get so god damn loud. I never saw or heard them in jersey but they are definitely in Chicago.

One flew in my house when I had the sliding glass door open and the thing was the size of a small bird!

My house every summer is swarmed by eastern cicada hornets. Or whatever those things are called. The females hunt cicadas, sting them, then lay an egg on them in a hole in the dirt.

The hornets are Goddamn enormous!! Sound like helicopters flying around!
