Sometimes I read things like this and find sympathy for a true accident. But leaving a loaded gun laying on the bed?? I just don't get it. :dunno:

I picked up my kids the other night and we went to dinner and my son had a knife. A real utility type knife (I guess?) with a sharp blade. He just turned nine. Apparently his dad bought it for him for getting on the honor roll. :retard: I know some people think that is fine, but I see NO reason at all for my 9 year old to be carrying a knife.

no thats what happens when a dumb ass leaves one laying around. if he was carrying it... kid couldnt of gotten a hold of it...

I keep my loaded pistol in a locked safe, by my bed that I can open within seconds (in the dark). Every responsible gun owner, especially with kids, needs to have their guns in a locked safe. No excuse for any kid having access to a gun. None!

Ban knives, hammers, cars, rocks, or spoons. They all are utilized by stupid people to do stupid things.

How bout we start demanding some accountability from stupid people instead of enabling a mentality that breeds being controlled and told what to do by the government at every step? How about we possibly, annnnd I know its a stretch, but we demand some maturity and responsibility from our citizens, and enforce repercussions when you're a fucking moron.

This accident is tragic but preventable. Preventable merely by an adult being an adult, acting responsibly, and putting the safety of their family first. Not by banning a damn thing.
