To be honest, I think this phone has a problem. The battery drains nonstop. Doesn't matter if it's just sitting there untouched. I have tried every trick to help salvage the battery life. The phone also gets really hot sometimes. I'm talking hot enough where it made me jump because it was up against my skin for a second.

I can understand that. Sounds defective. I haven't read reviews on the phone but I wonder if your issues are common.

Go exchange asap. I am a heavy user and mine never gets that hot. You unfortunately got a bad one. They should change it out pretty quickl.

definitely an issue with the battery. take it in to a store, they should replace it free of charge.

my old samsung GS1 used to have overheating issues. i never really got it formally checked out but when i had to buy a new battery, the problem went away.
