I would suggest you go with a cheaper brand, use it for a couple years and see if its something you want to really spend money on. If so, then go with the weber.

As everyone else has said, charcoal is without a doubt best for taste but gas is just so much easier and the reason I use it.

I was going to suggest the same thing before prices were mentioned. Get a cheap grill to make sure it's gas you really like, and that the novelty of it doesn't just wear off.

And cheap grills if taken care of can last a long time. Got 6 years out of my last Lowes special.
