Had some good suggestions for places to eat and I can't remember wtf they were. :mad: A gyro place and a pizza place I know that.

Lets do this again. Any food suggestions/places to see that I haven't been feel free to add them.

Been watching a lot of food tv lately.

Every consider going to Iron Chef Morimoto's restaurant in Chelsea?

I have been to Rokusan-tei, the restaurant of Morimoto's mentor Rokusaburo Michiba in Ginza in Tokyo. Just fabulous food, easily the best food I have ever eaten.

Morimoto is suposed to take Japanese cooking and add a fusion flair to it. Never had it myself but if it is anything like Michiba's stuff, it has good to be great. Pretty spendy though, I think.

Halal Brothers food cart is the place for gyros. Mofo mentioned extremely long lines, but I didn't encounter that, so I guess it varies. Busy - yes. There are 3 in the same area. I had read they are not all created equal, but I can't vouch for that. We went to one, and it was very good.

When I went, I started a thread and someone recommended Vynl. I doubt I would recommend that. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't the greatest.

I also heard Junior's was the best place for cheesecake. I wasn't impressed. My cheesecake had rotten/over ripe strawberries on it. Yuck.

Ohhh, how could I forget the cannoli's! This bakery is BUSY, but so good. We went twice and I even brought some back.

We also tried this place in Greenwich based on "great reviews." It was.....different. Nothing special, IMO. It's a hot dog with their special onion/relish sauce stuff.

Yea, cooking and food channel are like 2 of the 5 channels I ever watch lol. Few of those places in my list to go I saw on cooking channel. Not sure about Morimoto, none of his stuff ever looks appealing to me. I would much rather go to Mario Batali's place.

I have seen both those places on TV. Le-bernadin looks amazing. Wonder If I can do a walk in without reservation. Hour or 2 wait MIGHT be worth it there.

Ok so the updated list. The nicer dinner type restaurants all require reservations and I am not going to do that. Just going to be a walk in and hope for the best. For that reason I will just post those places once I have gone. "Fast Food" though I can do!
