  • *Wine Review*

I couldn't find a thread of just wines. Did we have one? Or just random posts? :dunno:

Anyway - I don't normally drink red wine, but this is SO good. It's sweet, with a little fizz to it. I could have easily drank the whole bottle :x

      It's not champagne. It's a semi-sparkling.

Are you done with beer? I was going to start one of those, too, but not if I'm the only one drinking it. :x I'm on a gluten challenge and plan to sample some beers throughout it, lol.

I wouldn't say I am done with it, I will generally have a couple at a restaurant or something. Drinking more white wine now though. Bloats me less and somehow feels "healthier". lol. Nothing crazy, like a bottle per week, sometimes maybe 2. That reminds me, I have another one to post. lol :panic:

If this is going to be THE wine review thread I will just take my favorite one out of my other thread and post it here. Other thread sucks anyway, just me posting. lol

You have to try Butter. Probably my favorite white wine ever. Around $17-$18. Its right in the middle between sweet and dry, just perfect. As a bonus it has a high alcohol content for a Chardonnay so it gives you a pretty quick buzz especially on an emptyish stomach. :whistle

Hold on, is it sugar? I was under the impression that wine even though it taste "sweet" is just alcohol calories and not actually sugar.

Ehh, even if it is, goes well with my carb and protein diet! :retard:

I mentioned that Butter wine to my mom the day I bought the Stella Rosa. I'll grab that one next time. I generally don't like spending quite that much on something I've never tasted, because I end up wasting a lot. It better be buttery, because that's what I like!

As a side note - the Stella Rosa has a low alcohol content. So it's okay to drink the entire bottle. :)

                  :P

Tasting Notes from the maker: Delivering on its name, this wine has an ethereal creaminess on the palate, woven with smooth vanillin scented oak. Tropical flavors of pineapple and
honeydew intertwine delicately on the mid pallet and linger on to the finish.

There is very little sugar in wine unless you get a sweet wine. A glass of red wine is about 5 grams of carbs.

Eventually you'll gain an appreciation for reds and probably rarely touch whites. Assuming you reach a sophisticate level.

I get it bad from most red wine.

Don't confuse pussyitis for 'red wine induced heart burn'.

Jokes aside. That's a shame you really are missing out. I get it some times but it fades away.

A good red wine hits the spot nothing else can get near.
