Never had them before. Ever. 3 days ago… BAM! Eyes are swollen and extremely itchy, nose running all day long, throat is sore… Sucks. Feels like I have a bad cold. Started taking some Allegra and some eye drops but it doesn’t seem to be helping. It’s strange that I never had allergies before and now I have them really bad. Anyone else have them? Any suggestions? Guessing I should make a doc appointment.

Had them when I was a kid, grew out of them I guess. Blast the histamine blockers/allergy meds and go to the doc is all you can do.

Get a referral to an allergy specialist. They can do a full panel and figure out exactly what you are allergic to. It is a skin test where they have a dozen different allergens and they see which of them causes a reaction on your skin.

Allergies are freaky things. I would look for changes in your environment that are outside your norm...this could be from situational--you have moved, work somewhere different, have different exposure to something..Has the weather been different, that sort of thing. From what you are describing it sounds environmental rather then exposure related..heavy pollen count, or weird shit in the air. Generally if you haven't had them before you can knock them down with OTC stuff, just find which one works best. Some guys Claritin works, other folks Allegra is the holy grail. There's a few different brands out there and people don't respond to all of them the same. Often times, especially with people that don't get allergies as the norm, it will just run its course and you will be good to go in a few days after the body responds accordingly. If its consistent and won't fade, head to the doc I would say.

That's the strange thing... nothing new has really changed. I had to mow the grass yesterday and it tore me up! Could hardly finish cutting it. I guess I'll hold off for a couple days to see if I'm able to get it under control before scheduling a doc appt. Going to try Allegra D and see if that helps.
