Interesting, but I am not sure I agree. Sometimes we think everything today is much worse then it once was, but that could be because we tend to glorify the past.

I suspect there have always been men who didn't measure up. There are undoubtedly men who are real men today in the sense of what the article is about.

On the other hand, things change. Many women act differently than they did in the 50's and 60's. Men and women are more equal today then they have been in past times.

I wonder what people who actually fought for a living like ripper, blm, chadd etc. think about this rather than the poseur who wrote the article. I'm with prime, not sure I'll even dignify it by calling it "philosophy."
