This is something that can happen to ANYONE. Healthy or overweight, does not matter. Everyone should ask the question - if I disappear tomorrow, is my family going to be able to manage?

The single most important thing you can do is to get your financial affairs in order. Get a financial planner and someone who specializes in setting up a trust so that you can take care of this the right way. And there are many state regulations, so get someone who knows what the hell the rules are in your state. It does not matter whether you have a modest income or are a millionaire. DO NOT put this off. I didn't do it until I was in my mid-thirties and looking back, delaying that long was the single dumbest thing I ever did. If something had happened, my family would have been much worse off because of how much money the government skims off the estate.
