  • Pebble in your rotor?

WTF. New one for me today.

A small pebble became lodged in between my rotor and brake pad. It created the worst noise that I have ever heard from a car.

Can't believe all the noise this small pebble made.

Gotta love the internet. I don't know much about cars, but I knew it was a pebble after messing with it and reading a few forums.

I had that happen, and you aren't kidding; the noise/vibration it caused led me to believe that the pad had disintigrated and that the caliper had gouged into the rotor. When I got it cleaned out and saw this tiny little pebble with one side ground smooth and flat, I was dumbfounded...could hardly believe that was all it took to produce that sound.

Haha. Yeah it blew my mind.

My wife thought I was destroying the car.
