It pisses me off how silva never fought jones yet, so him denying rematch would teach ufc a lesson, whats good for the goose...Originally posted by funniirishman View PostDoubt he can dictate that, although I did read that in the post fight conference Silva said he was pursuing fights outside the division, and wasn't interested in a rematch...interesting.

It pisses me off. Silva has been my choice fighter since he first knocked out Lieben. His foolish antics disgust me as a spectator. I'd much rather see him and walk in and skillfully dismantle his opponent and walk out. This could have been another easy win but I'm glad it ended this way. He needed to be caught clowning. I love it. I can only imagine the what the ufc is thinking right now. Weidman won't be at the top long and their prized fighter and cash cow lost due being a douche.
I don't know wth Silva was rambling about post fight. Saying he doesn't want a rematch. He's not going to be fighting for the belt anymore. He's provided for his family. It's someone else's turn at the legacy. But he's not retiring because he has 10 fights left.

I agree. If you have followed him you have watched his behavior progressively deteriorate as his show boating and clowning became more prominent. A lot of that has to do with fighting some very underclassed fighters in addition to being a great fighter.I honestly didn't think he would be in jeopardy this fight if he could defend the takedown, but I didn't see him acting like a spastic Ali either.
As I understood it, he wants to focus more on fights that interest him...superfights if you will. Like Jones, or GSP. He has even been babbling about boxing for some years now but I think that would be a ridiculous error on his part. I also agree, Weidman is a great kid but that division is stacked with alot of guys that can give him trouble..The UFC built that fight because they didnt have a challenger Silva hadn't destroyed..other than Munoz and Maia, Weidman hasn't fought high caliber opponents. Its actually amazing to me he got a title shot when you think about it. But he be da CHAMP:)

ya but they both had not cleared out the division. as you see weidman was left in silvas division and looked what happened.Originally posted by Mr incredible View PostBecause as a spectator I want to see who is the best, not matches made to pamper and boost marketing, otherwise I'd just watch WWE.
I bet Silva goes and ask for super fights now. he can not beat weidman. I dont think he would loose that way again but weidman just needed to take him down and he would win easy I belive silva knew that. shit everyone knew that.

I agree about Weidman not really beating enough top guys but he had the exact tools needed to beat silva. he has ground and pound and subs. Silvas only weakness is the ground the left hook was a fluke and caugth silva acting retarded. that wouldnt happen again. But I do belive Weidmen could beat him again no problem just not standing, lolOriginally posted by funniirishman View PostI agree.
