Im sorry to hear that bro. Im not being cold when I say this but tell her how much you love her and how much she means to you. You were right when you mentioned ''mortality of a parent'' so tell her that way when and IF that day comes you can have peace of mind that you told her how much you cared about her and how much she means to you. Youll feel good, I told my wife to do that when her father became dependent on dialysis. But again sorry to hear that. Stay positive.
