Does anyone else find the striking hypocrisy of this quote from the POTUS? As he looks to attack Syria, are not the similarities so striking that his repeated condemnation of the previous administration is laughable? Just putting it out there. And to keep it muscle oriented...Protein shake ftw!

"I don’t oppose all wars. What I am opposed to is a dumb war. What I am opposed to is a rash war. What I am opposed to is the cynical attempt by Richard Perle and Paul Wolfowitz and other armchair, weekend warriors in this administration to shove their own ideological agendas down our throats, irrespective of the costs in lives lost and in hardships borne. What I am opposed to is the attempt by political hacks like Karl Rove to distract us from a rise in the uninsured, a rise in the poverty rate, a drop in the median income, to distract us from corporate scandals and a stock market that has just gone through the worst month since the Great Depression. That’s what I’m opposed to. A dumb war. A rash war. A war based not on reason but on passion, not on principle but on politics."

Well rocket simply put, US has no business going in to syra. It is not our war.

It is Syrian civil war. They did not attack US nor a threat for US.

Not to mention, we finally got out of Afghanistan just recently...How many US servicemen hafta fucking die for other countries bullshit?! We got enough problems of our own-for example a shit economy. Spent billions or more in the Middle East-struggling citizens here at home...Yeah, let's blow a shit ton more $ that we don't have for some 3rd world country that would never do the same for us. If it's a matter of protecting U.S. soil, fine do what you gotta do. Until then, back the fuck off there "B-Rock". Christ.

The problem with syria is this... they used chemical weapons. idc who you are that shit needs to go punished. imagine the horror those innocent people went thru.not soldiers..just mom dads n kids in there homes.. thats ruthless shit. IMHO and thats all it is..we need to take out his stocks of those chemical weapons and the delivery systems he has for them.

2 reasons...if the assad forces used them hes fucked up....if the rebels got them and used them hes fucked up for not securing them properly. either way..they need to be destroyed so they cant be used again.

Big thing with doing that is outside factors can and or may escalate...

Again, my perspective...and Ive been in and lived in the ashtray...

Here's the problem with that context. Since the Syrian civil war started, by UN estimation 110,000 people have died. Now all of a sudden, the government allegedly (I say allegedly because no one has offered any concrete evidence of who used what)uses them and 300 people die and now we need to bomb them back to the stone age. The other 109,700 people that got killed didn't matter two shits...now we need to fight. Its fuzzy math. And retarded logic. All this.. When the entire time Syria has been sitting on the what is believed to be at least the THIRD LARGEST stockpile of chemical weapons in the world...where did they get them you ask?? They make them from several plants they have....and have been doing it since the 1980's. Where is the outrage prior to this?

My point is that it is again manufacturing a reason to go to war. Primarily to depose a regime that isn't friendly to us. I've had my ass in the sand all over that region for over a decade and it can all be flushed as far as I am concerned..no one has the moral high ground over there. However, if you take a close look at the "rebels" we seek to support, the ties you find to terrorism and Al-Qaeda are glaring and very real.
