The Most Epic Supercar of All Time

“Life is measured in achievement, not in years alone.”When Bruce McLaren uttered that phrase, it’s easy to assume he had no idea what his company would be able to achieve by the time its 50th rolled around. But since it announced a new range-topping supercar (the perfect 50th-birthday gift), we’ve all been wondering what numbers McLaren would achieve.Well, the long-awaited P1 figures are in, and they’re spectacular: 903 horsepower.A 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 joined with a performance hybrid electrical system. And in case you missed it: 903 horsepower.Speeding up just as fast as it can slow down, the P1 can get from zero to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds and another 2.8 to get back to zero.If you’d rather keep your foot on the gas pedal (the suggested choice), the P1 will hit 120 mph in 6.8 seconds, which is before your neighbor’s Volvo wagon will hit 60.It’ll then continue on to an electronically limited top speed of 217 mph. With performance figures that will physically take your breath away and a $1.15 million price tag that’ll do the same, we’re clearly witnessing the pinnacle of automotive innovation…

            nice.

Friend hit 208 in his m3 recently at a fraction of the cost.

            But an m3 isn't a supercar.

Can't even imagine over 200. I hit 145 in my 1969 Plymouth one time, and that was scary enough for me.lol.

That thing is sharp. Big ass engine behind a little cockpit.

Lol. Really Matt? You gonna compare hitting 200mph on a super car to your 145 on a 69 Plymouth? Heck I hit 125 on my VW and it felt like I was still doing 80 and hit 130 on my friend's Ducati with another 70mph to go and it was just fine. So I doubt there is any more drama in that car at 20mph than 80.

Old school muscle cars handle like shit at that speed bro. No secure feeling like any modern day vehicles. May have been faster, speedometer buried well past 120 and bouncing off the bottom. Trust me, didn't feel like 80 in ur VW bro
