You tuned the shit out of a turd, you now have a tuned turd. the money would have been much better spent on a mustang or camaro or better yet a vette.
Fuck an American car. After the "bail-out" they should practically be giving away cars to the American taxpayer. That is how government subsidy works, right?

B, how did you not have to pay a down payment or upfront fees?

We're looking at possibly leasing a new Explorer for my wife. Called and got pre approved from my lender at 1.13% APR.

Any last words of advice? Things I need to be aware of that the dealership might try and pull?

I really don't know bro. I sit there and stfu when the finance girl is doing the numbers. she makes shit happen. she is currently on the other side of the planet so I can be of no help, but I can ask when I talk to her.

What I can say though is that jeep grand Cherokee is far superior to explorer in almost every category including looks. :agreed:

Sexy suv for sure, but not superior in space for kids and all the shit that goes with them.

We test drove both of them as well as the Yukon and Tahoe. All things considered, size, space, comfort, features for price, etc , the explorer came out on top for our needs.

                  You have no idea.

Take the family shopping, you got 2 car seats, a cadillac size double stroller and a few hundred dollars in groceries. Believe me, the extra space is a wonderful thing. Jeep too small...Tahoe too big...Explorer just right.

Oh and an added bonus. My grandfather is a retired Ford executive so we get a family discount. Knocks at least $5k off the total cost.

Agree on the size issue, love my explorer bro. Its 6 yrs old now but was a $37k truck when it was new, limited with every single option even power leather 3rd row seats. Havnt went in a ride in the new ones but im very happy with mine. Not the best in the snow, but thats bc i have 20's with goodyear eagles on it...not ideal snow tires. Got 102k miles on it and still a great vehicle with no major issues.

                    • I love ford explorers. I still have a 1994 4x4 for my weekend warrior stuff.
Yeah bouncer has no idea even with only two kids you need that extra space. Specially now my daughter is older she keeps inviting friends to go to places with us and a five seater SUV is simply not big enough.

                      • The new Explorers are nice inside. I looked at one before I ordered my truck (I DO have the Brady Bunch). I think she'll be happy with it. :thumb:

                          • My wife drives a GMC Acadia. Seats 7 if you ever need that capacity. Does great in the snow too. DVD system in it for the kids. Great family vehicle.
