I am so NOT feeling Christmas this year. Doesn't feel like the holidays, I have a million things going on, spent the night in the ER with my son last night (he's fine now), family is fighting, I just hate everyone!

I seriously feel like everywhere I go, almost everyone I talk to, I hate them! Everyone is rude, nobody gives a damn about anyone else, traffic is horrendous, the amount of money being spent is outrageous, it's ridiculous!

The holidays are always particularly stressful. People are always in a bigger hurry with "more important things to do than you."

This year we really took a step back and focused on what's important. Family. This will likely be our last Christmas with our aunt so we have truly put in the extra effort to not let other peoples ignorance and lack of common decency ruin that for us.

Remember things could always be much worse. Take a breather and enjoy the ones you love.

Christmas music and Christmas movies can only do so much. It's a mind set like anything else in life. Day to day I can pick out dozens of things wrong and focus all my attention towards that negative bullshit. But when I read selfless acts about others I know doing things for strangers.... It opens my eyes and makes me realize the world can be a terrible place, but there are things to be grateful for and this is a great time to be thankful. I'm pretty pumped this year. My oldest is almost 3 and is really excited. The past 2 years she just went through the motions. Now she is ready to raise hell like every other kid on Christmas morning. She lights up the room. It's a great feeling.
