  • What snow does to Birmingham.

It's crazy the chaos that happens to states that aren't prepared or have the proper tools to accommodate weather. They had like 4,000 kids spend the night at their schools because the buses couldn't make it. A few people I talked to said it took them 5 hours to get home from work, etc.

Same thing happens here in LA when drizzles for a few minutes. No joke.

    Here is an example. Lol.

Check out Atlanta. I read the forecast for yesterday and made the decision not to trek out on my 60 mile commute.

Guy a know with 30 mile commute usually = 9 hours driving, 30 min walking yesterday. The average was around 2-3 miles per hour.

A lot of things caused the mess, the roads not being treated PRIOR to lunchtime yesterday were a huge problem. The fact that way too many transfer trucks come through downtown (not following the law that mandates them to bypass the city unless they have a delivery) and cause huge back ups of traffic. Etc, etc. I also find it funny when people from Chicago, Michigan, etc, laugh at the amount of chaos from 2 inches of snow/ice, but they don't seem to understand that an area that is use to the snowy weather has the infrastructure to support it. Same reason that the Northern cities freak out when the temps get above 90 degrees for a week or two in the summer. We are use to the heat down here and we don't freak out, they freak out in the north and go crazy during the heat wave.

It is all relative. Just glad I stayed home, or I would have had about a 14-15 hour commute.

Lol @ you talking about heat waives. Chicago doesn't shut down like a bunch of southern dipshits. As a matter of fact, our highs this past summer were higher then Atlanta. So eat shit an accept your city is fucking retarded.

Our politicians are extremely stupid, but they are worse in Chicago. Chicago is beautiful, but about as corrupt as they come.

A lot of people down here obviously can't read a weather alert and make a choice without the guvment telling them what to do.

Schools open=guvment says it is safe to drive

Stupid was on both sides. Glad I stayed home.
