I never use credit cards for anything. I always use my bank debit/credit card. I always received points on my purchases which I could cash in for lots of different items. As of just recently you only receive points on select purchases. I’m thinking of switching to a regular credit card if the point system is better. I really don’t care about the interest rate as I will pay it off in full every month. Just looking for the best points/benefits. What do you guys use?

I have a capitol one mastercard with 2% cash back rewards on certain things...and a discover with 1% back and 12 months 0% apr. Every few months i get $30-$50 cash back that can credit the account. Not much, but nice to get a little free money. I always pay off at least 2ce a year and use them for everything besides car payment and rent...

same problem as Bouncer if I like ordering shit online LOL.
I use the bank card to stay out of trouble but the problem with that is I would think its harder to dispute fraud. My CC was used at Walmart in CA and they froze the card. It wasn't me but they covered the $900 that was used.

I was always told if you make more than the minimum payment, it helps your credit. Ive been doin that for every single CC payment, car,etc...all i know is my credit has got way better in last few years, and thats really the only thing ive done different

Good point. Its been years since i was late on any payment, maybe thats whats been helping me out credit wise....Originally posted by FitnessBrat View PostThe biggest factor is paying on time. Whether it's the minimum payment or the entire bill, if it's late, it's going on your credit report.
