  • Verizon slowing down my connection?

So this past month has been by far the most usage I've had with them since coming to them from sprint 5yrs ago.

I used 16 gigs of data, almost 5K mns and 3800 texts; I live off my phone; it's my business/career.

So I've noticed this past week my connection tends to be slower than normal and I've heard that they typically will slow your shit down. Btw...I'm grandfathered in so I have unlimited everything and pay less than $140 a month for my personal line. But when I upgrade my phone, I have to pay full retail so I don't lose my plan and IMO, well worth it.

Maybe BLM has some good input on this; I know he use to work for them or still does.

    My point is this
..how many of us live off our phones? I practically now use my phone for everything; even movies or whatever. I love my S4 and can't wait for the S5 coming soon. I also never thought I'd ll use my tablets like I do now. The usage I posted was just my phone.

16megs? You must mean 16gig. I have no idea if and when they throttle wireless data.

I know very little about the wireless dept. Never worked for Verizon wireless bro. Got me confused with someone else.

I pay $160 a month for unlimited everything with Verizon for 2 phones.

I get numerous contracts from Verizon communications for building, maintaining, and training for their fiber optic network infrastructure. But they are two separate entities within the same corporation.

        Family is good.

Gotcha. That's where I got the confusion.

            Why do I have a 3g connection when it's always a 4g? ??

More focused on revenue than service.

yea but they are all pretty much like that. something seems to have changed where they can no longer provide the level of service. bit like the Roman Empire when it spread itself to thin..

They're far from spread thin. If anything it's intentional not due to network limitations.

Wonder how long before someone dethrones them.
