Doesn't matter, as long as there are dr prescibed pain killers people will abuse them, sell them, etc. If this "super vicodin" is 10x a regular pill, thats 50-100mg of hydrocodone. Percocets/oxycontin/roxycodone are all oxycodone based which is a much stronger compound used in higher levels of pain management...so what I'm saying is this "super vicodin" isn't any more potent than a few percocets. I had back problems from work, then got in a pretty bad car wreck and was prescribed many different pain pills at one point, so from my experience idt the super vic is that big of a deal.
That said, I don't need those anymore, and I can't stand pot. But I think for those whose ailments are alleviated-legitimately from marijuana, they should most certainly have access to it under a doctor's care. Not as addictive, and I doubt the withdrawls are as bad for the patient when they stop using it. Pain pills are much much worse of an issue than pot in my book...

HT is just sensationalizing the story. This new drug is just extended release hydrocodone, plain hydrocodone. No IBU, APAP, or ASA added. The old formulations are getting the boot due to the amount of APAP that most patients were taking, causing liver problems later on.
The FDA also lives in the pocket of big pharma, they are not going to endorse anything that can simply be grown in your backyard.
