Fermilab is like 20 minutes from me. Wonder if they do tours? Scrum?

Yes, the facility itself is open to visitors and I am sure they will have tours although I have personally never taken one. Definitely look into it. Fermilab is an awesome site - so much history there. And I am definitely hoping they get to do the Long Baseline Neutrino Experiment.

I'm going this Wednesday! They don't even charge for the tour!

      Fermilab Education Office Calendar

Get to Know Fermilab tours are held most Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. Visitors meet in the Wilson Hall atrium for an introductory tour of the Lab and are welcome to enjoy lunch in the Wilson Hall Cafe.

The docent-led tour includes visiting the 1st floor and the 15th floor of Wilson Hall and the Linac building, which houses the first two accelerators, the neutron cancer therapy area and the Main Control Room.

There is no charge for the tour; just arrive at the front desk in the Wilson Hall atrium by 10:30
