Burger Joint at LE PARKER MERIDIEN Hotel New York

Halal Brother Cart (53rd & 6th) Makes our TOP 15 NYC LIST (Below) - Review of 53rd & 6th Halal, New York City, NY - TripAdvisor

    BLT Prime

    *stolen from Bouncer’s thread*

Need a good breakfast spot near midtown.

What attractions should I see? I haven’t been to NYC in 10 years. I have never been out to the Statue of Liberty, but it is most likely going to be cold next weekend.

BLT Prime is just on there as a holding spot for dinner on Sunday. It may change. I wanted to try a couple of other steakhouses, but they didn’t have any open tables.

Is that pizza place good B? I want an A++ pizza. I have had tons of $2 slice pizza in NYC and have always been satisfied, just looking for a sit down spot.

Need bakery/dessert/sweet place ideas for the wife.

Yea bro the pizza place is very good. Don't go for any appetizers or any of the BS. Just get 2 pizzas (they are smaller) and you will enjoy it. Simple is good! Doesn't have to be loaded with meat to be good as you already know.

Breakfast places, bro any dinner type place in NYC is going to be good. Bagels sandwiches is my go to. You can always get a mean bacon, egg, and cheese on a bagel in NYC. Competition is so high, the shit places don't last.

An absolute must do is the highline. Granted it's much more beautiful in srping/summer/fall but it's still pretty cool to see what they have done with what used to be an industrial dump.

Bakery places, my suggestion would be to wait until you are there and walking around, use the yelp app and pull up the best bakery with the most reviews closest to exactly where you are. Yelp works much better in a big city then it does in normal towns etc.. We found some amazing places this way. Some little hole in the wall place that served the best lobster roll ever. Would have never seen it without yelp.

Shame you're not going at a better time of year. NYC is beautiful when the leaves are out and everything is in bloom.

        Thanks B.

        That pizza looks great.

I think we will do the Empire state building, I haven't done that in 17 years. Can't decide on the statue of liberty, I think it will take up a lot of our time and be cold as well, but I would like to check it out.

I will check out the highline, I've read about that before and remember you talking about it.

I like NYC in the hot steamy summer, but we are just sneaking away for the weekend. It is spring break and I need to get out of here and let my brain relax. Just really going to walk around and eat good meals.

                It does. I can't wait.

Need a late night spot to eat on Saturday night. Might just wait until we arrive and do the yelp thing. I found some good late night spots, but they are down near chinatown and I want to stay semi near midtown on Saturday night.

Yea the pizza thing is something most of america doesnt seem to get. Basic and simple yet packed with flavor. It's doesnt need to be loaded with shit to be good. That's what makes it shit!

Turbo I really wish you would consider Ma Peche. Aside from ZuZu in napa CA it is my favorite restaurant ever.

What did you wear to Ma Peche? I didn't put it on the list because I'm not taking a suit and tie. I assumed ma Peche was pretty dressy, I will go if a button up and khakis will work.

lol @ suit and tie. Bro none of the modern "in" places are uppity or stuffy like that anymore. you need to get out more. lol

Obviously dress nice but certainly a suit is NOT required.

Only place I get out is to eat. I figured a suit and tie wasn't needed. I would always rather be overdressed than underdressed.

I made a reservation. It is in midtown, so it works out nice. No nice steak dinner now, just ball out at ma Peche.

Dropped burger joint, going to try and get in shake shack when we arrive Saturday night. Ma Peche on Sunday. Contemplating waking uo early Sunday and waiting on the famous cronut. I think the cold will keep some people from waitimg an hour for a pastry.

Unless the weather is horrid shake shack line will be something I doubt you will want to deal with brother. Place is insane busy and IMO the burger is good but people tend to expect something amazing and at the end of the day it's a good burger.. nothing more. If your ever in Chicago, DMK burger is the best Iv'e ever had anywhere.

Yeah, I've been reading about the crazy shake shack lines. I found a mexican restaurant close to the hotel, going to hit it up on Saturday night when we arrive. Get some overpriced mexican food and some margaritas.

Thinking of doing the pizza place or shake shack for lunch on Sunday, depending on how this crazy cronut thing works out. Shake shack would be a really early or late lunch.
