  • New study says no link between saturated fat and coronary risk!!

This is the news I have been waiting for. Now I can eat all the bacon and pancakes I want!

Study says massive overhaul is needed.

New study puts final nail in the "saturated fat causes heart disease" coffin

Don't know if anyone can find the actual study but it was done over 18 countries by Cambridge apparently.

This is for all the Paleo peeps. I can't even be bothered with these studies anymore. Everyday something changes about what was/is "bad" or not. :panic:

And it isn't a "new" study, it was a meta analysis of past studies.

Our nation runs on corn, they wan't you to eat corn until you get a condition, then you get put on meds. Farmers are pretty much forced to grow corn on all available land.

10 years working in health care and I'm amazed everyday at the bullshit. My classes now sound like force fed propaganda, "statins save lives" "HTN drugs are the answer". I asked a professor just the other day while filling out a patient chart, "I understand the lipids and BP are not at goal and those are problems we should address, but the MAIN problem is the obese patient"....her response "No one has died from being obese"........

It is all about the pills. We trust that a patient has actually tried lifestyle modifications for a few months with no positive results, we trust that the patient actually went to the gym and worked out as opposed to walking around and talking. We trust that the patient's new diet is being followed correctly as opposed to them just eating the same shit. I think I'll trade my Wendy's for Subway, that is healthy. lol. These are the same patients that can't even take a pill every morning, but we trust that they are making lifestyle changes.

Changes need to happen, but too many people are getting rich off this scam. Time for the FDA to die. It amazes me that the public doesn't cry foul when ex FDA employees goes to work for Monsanto or a pharmaceutical company. We are getting played every single day.
