    I have the windows 8 and I don't see what the big deal is with the start button. In fact I prefer not to have it.

    It's for the old people who doesn't wanna try to learn new shit.

      agreed for windows tablets and mobile devices with touch screen technology but not the desktop. its annoying.

        I like Windows 8 overall. It's just fashionable to hate on Microsoft, it boosts your hipster nerd cred. These are the same people who love not having a Start menu on an Apple.

          Forgive my computer ignorance, but what does it matter if there's a start menu? You still have to click a button of some sort to get anywhere/do anything, right?
