he speaks the truth on this occasion. certainly would have been a worse situation then a knife.Originally posted by Turbo3000 View PostLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
You have some serious issues.
"never bring a knife to a gun fight" makes sense to you correct? to deny a gun is more dangerous then a knife is retarded.

It is a stupid viewpoint. "Well at least he didn't have a gun". I guess. At least he didn't chain the doors and torch the place, at least he didn't have a fertilizer bomb and level the building, at least at least. We can do it all day.Originally posted by THE BOUNCER View Posthe speaks the truth on this occasion. certainly would have been a worse situation then a knife.

I'm all about saving kids, so what are we going to do about blade control? We need to make sure crazy people don't get blades. Maybe we should go to a spoon only society. I can get behind that legislation. Maybe only certified butchers that pay the proper government agency enough money should be in possession of sharp knives. What does a normal peon need a knife for? Nothing! A spoon will do most tasks, and you don't have to worry about a sharp blade.
Guns aren't the problems, knives aren't the problem. Society has a problem. Is it the upbringing? The weird shit in our foods? The medication? What is it? I just can't believe that inanimate objects cause problems.
Guy goes on a stabbing spree and people state "at least he didn't have a gun"??? That is a sad response. I'm old school, I like to search for the cause of problems, not attempt to blame problems on something else.
We have become a zero accountability society. We reward non performers. We let the federal government fuck us each and every day. Check out the rancher that has snipers/feds on his land TODAY because the government decided they wanted his land. That doesn't sound like freedom to me. That is an example of why the government doesn't want an armed population, it isn't and has never been about saving lives.
Getting off track, but bottom line, there is something a lot bigger happening than "guns are bad".

Good points and I agree. Just pointing out that on the surface his statement is correct.
Certain things need to have a little more control compared to others. Would you be all for everyone having easy access to nuclear weapons? Leave it up to "accountability"? Extreme example I know but it gets the point across.

Sure. I'm not to worried unless the majority of Americaan's are secretly nuclear physicists.Originally posted by THE BOUNCER View PostGood points and I agree. Just pointing out that on the surface his statement is correct.

You cede a little control, and it becomes a lot. I generally find that people are for something that doesn't really have an effect on them, without really looking at the far reaching outcome. In this case your rights, and the fact the government shouldn't be able regulate you if you've done nothing wrong. Kinda why we have the Constitution.
The events of this incident are tragic, but saying the outcome would have been different if a variable such as weapon used was changed is laughable. There were approx 30 shooting incidents on school campuses (Colleges etc. included) in 2013. This is all related crimes, gang incidents, straight up crime, as well as mentally disturbed incidents. Of those ONE had more than 5 casualties (Santa Monica CA.) and over half had zero casualties. Compare that to Chicago's murder rate by firearm of 373--over 450 total with 1700 wounded--in 2013.
My point? Intent is a primary determining factor in violent acts. You walk into a preschool with a lead pipe, and you can do untold damage in a short amount of time, I would even debate possibly more. People go to schools to wreak havoc because they get media coverage, the targets are soft and virtually undefended, and often times people are empathetic to the fact they are fucking nuts.

A lot more can be said on the matter, but your aren't intelligent enough to do it. You pop in threads and give a few one liners and then poof, on to the next topic.Originally posted by Mr incredible View PostIf he had a gun it would have meant more casualties.
Its as simple as that and nothing more needs to be said on the matter.
Anyone who suggests otherwise needs to be shot in the face for mentality or epic stupidity.
God bless America
What if he had a grenade? A hammer? A sock full of quarters? A wooden bat with nails on the end? A circular saw and an extension cord? A tire iron? A shovel? Soap on a rope? A handful of syringes filled with digoxin? A car full of explosives?
Give me the stats on all of those dangerous devices while you are on your anti gun crusade, in a country in which you don't reside. You should move here, you fit right in with all the people worrying about everything except THEMSELVES.

You are incapable of the perspective of a country with tight gun control, that is clear.Originally posted by Turbo3000 View PostA lot more can be said on the matter, but your aren't intelligent enough to do it. You pop in threads and give a few one liners and then poof, on to the next topic.

Not so with me, I live in one. I can look from the outside in and see whats occuring in the USA per capita, so your problems are clear.
The one anomoly we have in the UK is rape, and it personally and sincerely bothers me.
