  • Phone switching time, help me decide

    Need some help.

Time for a new phone to play around with.

Narrowed it down to the above 3. I know they are all 8-9 months old. I will most likely play/use it for 4-6 months before switching again ( I know that is odd, but that is how I have been going for years)

Will still use my BB q10 some as well. You can't beat the BB merged communication HUB and the qwerty keyboard makes email quick work for me. Battery also lasts 2-3 days!!

iPhone 5s-just because, I bought the first one and have owned a few different models. Like some of the apps that are available for health professionals. I will most likely get bored with this one the fastest, but I feel that I have been away from iOS for a long time, time to revisit.

Nokia 1020-mostly for the camera. I loved my Lumia 900 and I think Windows 8 mobile is an excellent OS. The build quality of the Lumia is also very nice. It feels like a nice, quality, electronic.

Nexus 5-android, other than creepy google spying on your ever move, what isn't to like? This one would be a complete tinker with phone, root, upload roms, etc. I got rid of my SG3 in december, so I do think it is a little too soon for android.

I think I want to say it isn't quite as good as prior models. I am on it a lot though, and it really isn't an issue for me because I always have a charger nearby anyway.

That is what I keep hearing. I remember the battery life on the first iphone was pretty good. My 3g, and 4 were decent also.

I might just wait on the iphone and see what is released in September. I just wanted to mess around with iOS 7.

My contract is coming up for renewal this summer... are there new models coming out? Nexus 5 is pretty new, but the other stuff from Apple and HTC are at least a few months old, right? Are there new models around the corner?

                Wait until October.

                Out now:
HTC M8 if you want a nicely built phone running android w/ a skin. I prefer vanilla android.

Sony Z..(something) ? Suppose to be the "BEST" android phone this week.

Galaxy 5 if you like Samsung.

iPhone 5s....I wouldn't sign a 2 year contract for it, but get it if you are into the Apple ecosystem and really want an iphone now.

Totally agree with this. If I was in the market for something "different" I would wait until the next model came out as opposed to buying something already a year old.

Wondering about the HTC One M8.... Really like how it looks, plus it now has expandable memory. I only use the phone camera for emergency shots, so having "only" a 4MP camera isn't a big deal to me. Not sure I want to go back to iPhone... I like Android a lot now.
