  • I'm fucken retarded

Well it's a stupid design but still..

I was taking the dealer frame off the car yesterday cause I just wanted the clean look of the plate, not the stupid advertisement for the dealer. Anyway, the front went fine, no issue. But the back has these clip screw things. So I'm screwing the plate in and the little clips thing pushes right into the little hollow plastic part behind the plate that the plate sits on. Now it's shaking around in there. I gotta take it to audi and they gotta use a heat gun to pull off the plate thing because it's not just connected with screw but also adhesive.

A simple fucking removal of a plate frame... only me. :retard:

exactly. brand new and you use it for the best years of the cars life. once shit start to go wrong with it you get rid of it. on top of that, the payments are lower then buying. seems like a no brainer to me.

You have nothing to show for it in the end. Which is fine if you're someone that always has a car payment anyway. Not good for someone like me that drives a lot, or someone like Scrum that keeps his car for 35 years :P

I wanted to lease the Explorer but the payment was about $150 more per month and with my aunt battling cancer we knew we would be traveling to Pa frequently, accruing high mileage.

My grandfather retired from Ford so we qualified for the A plan and ended up with a 2014 fully loaded Limited for $32k. You can't even get used that cheap.

We've had it 6 months and have over 10k miles on it. Needless to say lease would not have been a wise decision.

Man they have those focuses by dozens at the dealerships around here.

Nope, not the ST. The regular run of the mill Focus, sure, but who wants those.

Even among the STs, sure there are several but they are either the wrong color, or have the retarded racing stripes on them, or have dorky optional wheels or whatever. I am sure some of it is the size of the market. It is probably a lot easier finding one in Socal.

I finally had enough and ended up ordering one just the way I wanted. It is about 6 to 8 weeks from the time of ordering to delivery. Not ideal, but I'd rather do that than pay all that money and have regrets that I compromised on anything.

Love my Limited Explorer. It's an 08 and still like brand new, even has 107k on it and runs perfect. Best vehicle I've ever owned :thumb:

I was actually going to ask if anyone had a new Explorer! I'm considering one. I have a 2013 F150 and I LOVE the interior, so I'm thinking an Explorer would be awesome, too.
