Richard P Feynman - FUN TO IMAGINE

The way this guys mind works is amazing. a different kind of genius.

Much like Carl Sagan he is able to take very complex things and break it down into a easy to understand explanation. I find that most genius level people aren't able to do that very well. They can only speak or teach at their level which makes it hard for them to be great teachers because very few can actually understand what their saying. it's a rare kind of genius that can come down to normal people level so to speak.

Feynman was one of the coolest cats around, apart from being, other than Einstein, the most brilliant physicist of the 20th century.

If you can, try to get an audio version of Surely You Are Joking, Mr. Feynman. It is a fantastic book.

watch his stuff to though. it's his personality and the way he goes about things that really takes you by surprise. I'm sure his book is great but there is no way it shows the little nuances of his personality that makes him so likable. Again, much like Carl Sagan, he gives off a certain vibe that just pulls you in. you have to hear him express his thoughts, you have to see him get across his ideas. I'm sure the book is amazing but you'll be missing out if you don't actually hear and see him. I hope that makes some kind of sense.

scrum you will like these if you have the time to watch. done in the same sort of style as the cosmos series from a few years ago. really well laid out with easy to understand and remember facts that aren't just surface level basic knowledge type stuff. i learned a few things from the first episode. i thought i had a pretty good understanding of the origins of the telescope and how we got where we are today but i learned a lot from a 1 hour episode. very well done. i think it was made by the BBC and then rights in America on PBS.
