  • Michael Schumacher out of coma

BERLIN -- Nearly six months after sustaining serious head injuries in a skiing accident, seven-time Formula One champion Michael Schumacher left a French hospital on Monday and was transferred to neighboring Switzerland to continue his recovery.

Schumacher "is not in a coma anymore," his manager, Sabine Kehm, said in a brief statement announcing that the German driver had left the Grenoble University Hospital, where he had been treated since his accident Dec. 29.

Doesn't mean he isn't a vegetable. The fact that they refuse to give any details scares me. I think we would all be shocked at the person he is now. :(

Yep.. saw a video of him from 1996, spanking everyone in the rain. Not sure there was ever a better driver in the wet stuff.. Senna maybe. Hard to imagine him not being able to drive again.

Screw both of you. He's gonna pull through and he's gonna recover. And after the full recovery he's gonna go punch the Mercedes engineers in the balls for not giving him a car as good as this year's while he was racing for them. :nutkick:

Regardless of car... Rosburg still out qualified him and out raced him. Mike was a driver like vettle at redbull.. Ferrari had every advantage while he was on the team. Take away the car and team advantage and he is not the superman every one believed.

Hamilton, Alonso, Kimi (in his prime) are all more talented drivers. Senna was a drivers driver. He was a racer. Mike was a team advantage and very smart driver but only when he had every key advantage.

Cool story brah! You keep telling that to yourself and talk to me when any of those names you listed win seven championships.

I don't care what you say you don't win seven titles with pure luck without driver skill. As much as we hate vettel, him and weber had the exact same cars and weber couldn't win a race to save his life. Until any other driver wins seven or more championships he will be the best driver ever.

who is more naturally gifted... Lewis Hamilton or vettle? That's the point. Nobody is saying vettle isnt skilled. it's a matter of circumstance, right place at the right time.

Field is never even. Give every one the exact same car then let's see who is the better driver.
Last year Lewis couldn't catch Vettel and this year it's the opposite. If Lewis so much better driver than Vettel why last year wasn't even close?

I would be curious to know his real condition. Hopefully he will fully recover.

Your saying exactly what I'm saying yet saying it like you disagree. Lol.

Vettle had a 4 year advantage. Schumacher had a 7 year advantage. Both great drivers but not the best in their era's, just the most advantaged and smart enough to make the best of it.

My whole point is Schumacher is as good as or better than any of the drivers you named in your first post. He would've been as successful as Lewis and Rosberg if he had the car that they have this year.
You came to your conclusions because you saw him race three years in a row in that pos merc gave him.

I agree, great driver. But Ferrari in the 90's was the red bull of the 2010's.

Just keep in mind that Jenson Button won with brawn. Brawn had the advantage. You and me both know he is a mid pack driver.
