  • eBay who understands tbe rules?

There's a car I'm bidding on and today the price lowered and 3 bids were takin away.
I stopped bidding at 25k and I'm gonna wait till last second and go as high as 30k
But today and yesterday car was at 29k and 19 bids tiday dropped to 28.5 and 16 bids
How is that possible? Once you bid isn't thst like a contract? I know his reserve was 28.5 so I'm thinking he's upping the bids on purpose and since no one jumped higher than 29 he pulled his bid to get at least 28.5

I've done it before also selling a Rolex I knew reserve was 14.5k so I set my high bid to 14.4 lol knowing next bid and it was locked in lol

So what's your opinion on this should I still jump in or let him burn hoping they are not real bidders????
Or should I stop being cheep and just bid my max at 30k

You can retract a bid, but ebay doesn't like when you do.

If you want it and are willing to pay 30k, then I would bid up to that amount. I

they are probably canceled bids by the seller. seller's can cancel bids if the person bidding has bad reviews etc.. i dont think you can do that on regular ebay but ebay motors is different because your dealing with an expensive item and you want to make sure the people bidding are trust worthy.

you as the buyer should also make sure the seller is great feedback. i think id only buy a car with someone with 100% positive.

Ya I wouldn't trust it normally but car is like 3hrs away so I'm gonna go look at it if it stays under 30k
Maybe show up at his house just before bid ends look at it bid and hopefully drive away lol

It did go back to 29k today that sucks cuz car is worth 29-30 max so I getting no deal at all damn it

You can cancel bids on eBay. That's most likely what happened.
