You can never go into the water here any time of the year. You need a wetsuit. Only kids less than 10 years old seem to be impervious to the cold lol... If I step into the water, I lose all sensation in my toes in 30 seconds flat...

If there is a downside to the west coast its that. I like the ocean and the beach. Even in Cali the pacific is just freezing compared to Florida or the Caribbean.

The place we are renting costs about $350 a night and sleeps 12. There are others that cost over 600 or 700 a night. Basically it depends on how fancy the house is.

completely different environment from cali. both equally as impressive regardless of price. you should go on a driving trip up there bro. LA to Seattle, take your time and give yourself a week or 2 to just cruise.

I've done the week drive from LA to San Fran on pch spend a day or two in some small towns carmel and Monterey but haven't pass north of San Fran.

I would love to do the drive from San Fran to Oregon and one of these years I will. :)
