CBS to make direct-to-internet TV shows for services like Netflix and Amazon | The Verge

Wonder how the cable companies feel about being by passed? I'm sure not so great. Feels like the beginning of the end for traditional in home viewing ways.

I heard something earlier this year about Amazon trying to do something like this, but nothing more until now. If a company can price a service based on just getting the channels you want and make it competitive, say goodbye to standard cable and satellite.

Even more so, if you could pay for just the shows you want and not have to wait months after they were first aired to do so.
