  • Winter tires

For those of you with performnace cars in northern states, what winter tire/wheel setup are you running? My ST came with Goodyear F1 Asymmetric summer performance tires - insanely sticky in summer.. I've taken corners at twice the speed I would normally take in my old car and it feels like it is glued to the ground, but they are no good below about 40F.

I'm thinking of getting Pirelli Sottozero 3s - they are winter performance tires and I've read good reviews about their performance in rain and cold, of which we get a lot of in the PNW, as well as snow which we don't really see much of here. So, I don't need a full on winter snow tire.

You don't need winter tires in Oregon. A decent set of all season tires like the Pirelli P zero's that come standard on Audi's will be perfect for you.

Since it rains tons up where you live, just get four of these. These puppies can disperse 17 gallons of water per second.
