  • Almost got rear ended today...

Woman in an MDX not paying attention as the traffic slowed behind a guy trying to make a left turn. I thought I was a goner as I saw her panicked eyes as big as saucers in my rear view mirror. Luckily her brakes were in good shape lol..

    Idiot drivers :disagree:

Yep 3 people died in the last week in this area... Guy at work lost his wife and daughter. Daughter was just 30 years old with 3 kids..youngest 8 months old. Two teenage girls in a pickup crossed over center line hit them head on...police belive driver was distracted looking at phone at time of impact.

The other was a 37 year old mom of two..guy fell asleep at wheel bounced off empty school bus and hit her head on...

Yeah, would have really sucked if someone hit my 2 month old car lol.. traffic was only at 40mph, so wouldn't have hurt me but would have definitely messed up the rear end of the car.

Ridiculous how many people are still on the phone while driving. Get a BT hands free kit, people! I got one in my ST and it's amazing how seamless it is. My phone never leaves my pocket now.

I really don't think holding the phone or having a hands free thing is any different. The same distraction is still there. Texting, however....:x

Glad you and your baby are okay, though!

              Lol you think so?
Scrum 40mph rear and collision while you are on stand still would've fucked you up big time. I've had friends who got their neck fucked up even at 25mph rear end impact.

                Lmao didn't catch that.

40mph crash would have fucked your day up. The amount of G's your body would experience is enough to cause serious injury. I'm shocked you don't realize that.

I'm sure he means slowing from 40. The lady was braking already.

Yep, FB is right. Traffic was moving at 40mph, so not highway speed. And she was braking, so she would have hit me at 20 or 25mph. Probably would have given me a stiff neck, but not gonna kill me, especially from the rear. I wasn't born yesterday guys, c'mon.. lol...

Stupid ppl on cell phones scare and enrage me. I had some dumb young bitch almost clip my front bumper on the freeway after she passed me and immediately cut me off at 75mph a month ago. Then proceeds to slow down to 65 after she passed me as i was going 75. I pulled into left lane, look over, her face is buried in her fucking cell phone. Unbelievable. No wonder so many ppl get killed on the roads every year. Worse than drunk drivers sometimes...
