Burzynski is a charlatan whose antineoplaston theory does not work. He has not been able to demonstrate efficacy any any clinical trials that he had conducted. That in itself is not unique - many a quack has foundered on the shoals of evidence and peer review.
However, Burzynski is a particularly reprehensible variety of quack. Unlike "big pharma" clinical trials that are free, Burzynski charges thousands of dollars to anyone who wants to be a guinea pig in his experiments. He is thus preying on the vulnerable and the desperate - the people who have been told by their doctors, with good reason, that they are past treatment. By giving then false hope, he is milking them of funds and resources that would be better spent securing the future of their families. Is there anything more cruel, more cynical than that?
Please... spare us these ridiculous articles. You were the one that said that you will post these to spark debate. Well, I'm throwing down the gauntlet. I have science on my side. Bring a rational argument to the table, not the same tired conspiracy theories. Don't just swallow every BS idea that comes your way. View them using the glasses of skepticism and you will realize the truth.
