CDC Announces Astronomical Autism Rate: 1 in 68 Children
    by Christina Sarich
    October 8th, 2014

What is to blame for the incredible rise in children with autism in the United States? The Centers for Disease Control recently announced that 1 in 68 children in America has an autism spectrum disorder. Now out of every child born, 1 in 42 boys and 1 in 189 girls will suffer from autism or autism-like symptoms, a rate that has more than doubled since 2002.

The causes of autism are a controversial subject. Some believe that these children are gifted with emotional clarity and insight that those of us have yet to develop, but others see it as an epidemic, which may be the result of a gamut of different factors.

    What are the Causes?

Scientists first thought that autism was simply genetic, but environment has been proven to contribute significantly to the disease, not unlike other health issues that are triggered by toxin exposure, diet, and lifestyle choices.

Developing embryos and infants are much more sensitive to environmental toxins and vaccines, for example, than are adults. The hormonal system can be tipped out of balance quite easily in a developing child, and endocrine disruptors such as pesticides, herbicides, bromides, phthalates, and controversial vaccine adjuvants like thimerosal are also likely culprits.

When you add these toxins to radiation exposure, or a poor diet full of toxic food, then a developing child is going to have a hard time expressing the full potential of his DNA – even with ‘good’ genes. The truth is that our children are being hit from all sides by toxic compounds that our governments have repeatedly ignored, suppressed information on, or even promoted with blind abandon.

Last year, autism advocates practically begged Congress to do more research on the causes of autism due to its incredible rise in frequency, but those arguments seemed to fall on deaf ears. You can see the video here.

Members of Congress criticized the NIH and CDC for lack of research, as well as disclosure on the true safety of vaccines. Parents with children who have developed autism or autism-like symptoms are steadfast in their belief that vaccinations are a large part of the overall problem. However, due to the Freedom of Information Act, documents were uncovered in the UK that told a different story – that the CDC and other government agencies knew that vaccines were dangerous, and gave them a rubber stamp anyway. It’s controversial, but worth looking into.

These documents point to over 30 years of cover up about this issue. The CDC even tried to say that some of the documents requested were ‘non-existent.’ Perhaps they were referring to their transparency on the subject of autism and vaccines, instead.

A possible answer is that the CDC already knows what is causing the rise in autism, and they don’t want to disclose the truth to the masses. What do you think?

OK.. let's see... researchers are learning more and more about the Autism spectrum and realizing that it is more complex and nuanced than previously thought.

There is no eveidence that autism is more prevalent now than before. That is a specious and ridiculous argument. In fact, I would go much farther. It is a cruel and unjust position to take by these so called self-appointed experts. Why? Because it unfairly places the blame, even if it is unintentional, on the parents. After reading this kind of stuff, parents are racked with guilt on what they could have done to shield their kids from these pollutants, bad nutrients, gluten, or whatever else the charlatans and bogus experts decide could be the reason for this.

The fact of the matter is that we don't know if autism rates are increasing. We are definitely detecting this at a far greater rate because we know what to look for. What was considered unsual behavior, or social awkwardness in past generations, perhaps were really people on the spectrum that were undiagnosed as such.

And articles like these can never be complete without a juicy conspiracy theory. Yes, the CDC knew all about autism and didn't tell anyone about it. Tinfoil hats for all!!!

The problem I have is that whether people want to accept that more children are developing autism or we are just "finding" it more now,the same holds true.....there are far too many children being put on way too many life changing and many times, life ending drugs.

I was once in a relationship with a woman who had a kid that was diagnosed with autism and dr's had him so doped up on meds like he looked like a zombie. He was in a special ed class and would go into fits trying to hurt himself.Whenever we would take him back to the dr for a check up we told him that the meds werent working and he was still trying to hurt himself and all he wanted to do was up his meds!!

Long story short, after many times of him trying to go into a fit and hurt himself and me just bear hugging him and talking in his ear telling him how much his mother and I loved him and if he hurt himself he would be hurting us,he finally started to get better.Slowly but most assuredly with continuing to do this with him,he was weened off the ridalin.Dipshit dr didnt agree with it ast all of course but we stayed true to this and eventually he was completely off the drugs, they moved him back into a regular class and he wasnt trying to hurt himself any longer.

Too many timesthese kids are put on crap after being diagnosed with these so called conditions without ever being told to try to treat them with natural methods.

So no matter what anyone says about conspiracy theorists or propaganda, ive lived it firsthand as have many and as everyone else can attest to,theres definitely something wrong with our kids today.

And yes,I blame the parents in many of these instances.Sorry to be the voice of reality but if more people would stop fucking and pumping out kids and actually start being there for their children and learning what thye title "PARENT" means,I guarantee you less and less of our children would be having health issues, physical and mental.

There's no doubt that medication is not always the best solution and finding the right doctor and the right medication is very important. This is also a very fast moving field with new discoveries being made constantly. And newer drugs are much much better than ones from just a few years ago, with much better efficacy with fewer sides. But medication is only a piece to the puzzle, along with therapy, etc.

Not sure where you are going with your last paragraph though. Poor parenting or having too many kids or whatever is totally orthogonal to the point I was making, which is that articles that make arbitrary and specious connections between autism and environmental factors end up transferring the blame and guilt on the parents, because they are left hating themselves thinking "maybe I shouldn't have fed him from plastic bottles" or "maybe I shouldn't have lived in the polluted city" or whatever.

What I meant was IMO many parents are to blame for the ailments of their children. Not because they allow them to drink from plastic bottles but because they are not there by circumstance of even worse,by choice and then just dump them into a dr's office and follow whatever b/s that those same dr's tell them their kids need without even wanting to do more research for themselves.Roo many don't want to take the title parent to be a full time job so its easier to just dope them up,by with their dr's advice of course and forget about them.

That coin has 2 sides my friend. While there may be those sensationalists out there trying to make people feel guilty if their kids even sneeze, there are also those that just dont give a shit enough to even question their dr's when it comes to loading their children up on drugs. To the point that I made that when a drug isnt working anymore, they just want to up the dose and thats ok with these parents!!

          That was my point.
